Call for Papers
The Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (ICBHI 2026) and the 2nd IFMBE Latin American Conference on Digital Health (CLASD 2026) invites researchers, scholars, scientists, engineers, clinicians, and industry professionals to submit original research papers to this Joint Conference. ICBHI–CLASD 2026 brings together global advances in biomedical and health informatics with regional leadership in digital health systems, creating a unique international platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific excellence. The conference aims to advance intelligent, data-driven, secure, and human-centered health technologies that improve healthcare quality, patient safety, system efficiency, and equitable access to care worldwide.
Conference papers must strictly adhere to the basis of this call
Key Conference Themes:

Submission Guidelines:
Papers should be original research contributions and should adhere to the following guidelines:
- The papers must fit into one or more of the mentioned tracks.
- The work must be original and not have been published or in the process of being published; review papers will not be accepted.
- A similarity analysis tool will be used to verify the paper’s originality. Contributions with more than 10% of similarity score, excluding methods and references, will automatically be rejected.
- Written contributions must be submitted in English. Any manuscript in Spanish, Portuguese or other language will be automatically rejected.
- Each contribution must be structured according to the provided template, and authors must strictly adhere to the template´s format.
- Final versions of the contributions must be submitted as a PDF file. Additionally a ZIP folder containing all source files must be included. The contributions must be uploaded to the Platform by the corresponding author. This platform will be announced soon.
- When submitting a contribution through the Platform, the corresponding author must provide the following information:
- Name of each author: these must match with the PDF’s versions
- Affiliation of each author
- Contact email
- Track to which the manuscript is submitted for publication.
- During submission, the author may request a time slot of a sixty (60) second flash talk to advertise their work. This new modality aims to help authors promote and engage with more attendees interested in their research. A limited number of time slots are available and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
- During submission, if the first and presenting author is an undergrad/graduate student, the author may choose to participate in the Contests of the Conferences in the modality of oral presentation. The contests will be announced soon.
- It is an essential that at least one of the authors is registered and attends ICBHI-CLASD 2026.
- The arbitration of contributions will be exclusively in charge of the members of the ICBHI-CLASD 2026 Scientific Committee, who will designate reviewers related to the different research areas. The decision emanating from the review process will be final.
- The Scientific Committee will notify the result of acceptance or rejection of the work through the platform.
- In the event a contribution is accepted with corrections,
- The corresponding author must resubmit an updated version of the PDF file and the ZIP file through the platform.
- Resubmission must occur within the following ten (10) calendar days once notification of acceptance has been received, failing to resubmit will cause automatic rejection of the contribution.
- A response letter in English must be included in the updated ZIP file, this document contains the way in which the corrections and observations were addressed.
- Only one (1) certificate of participation will be delivered for each accepted and registered contribution, which includes all authors’ names.
